Lingenfelter 10inch crank pulley?
Hello just wondering if anyone is runnin the 10inch crank pulley or 28% overdrive on a stock zl1? I am interested to see what boost figures you are getting out of it? Is it to much pressure for a stock zl1? Any advise would be much appreciated.

works fine and I have used a 10" lower pulley with stock upper supercharger pulley for over 2 years. Boost is 15ish. This lower pulley is not recommended for extended use like road course duty as it will make the car overheat and IAT2s will skyrocket. For a cruiser and drag race machine, it will be perfect.

All in the tune or? Haha

Most likely due to your elevation...I am 130ft above and you are a mile high which surely effects your boost.

Stock cam, stock heads, no ported anything, with 100 octane. Supercharger never removed from car and valve covers never removed.

Thinking I might have to do a meth system as I do a little bit of road course maybe once every two months.

Nice...you will be close to 600rwhp on 93 octane depending upon which dyno is used and correction factors etc. Make sure they double check the fuel pressure as some cars really start dropping when pushing larger injectors at higher hp levels. A boost-a-pump may be necessary. Somehow mine is still o.k. with no fuel pressure drop at all.

Oh, don't run that 10" lower at the road course...you will be sorry because of all of the heat generated even with the cooling upgrades. Even a 9.55" lower is too much because of the amount of time the car is "boosting". The meth may "band aid" you well enough to get by, but I wouldn't rely on that because the tank may run dry. I run an 8.66" lower(10%) at the road course and that is consistent and safe. I tried the 9.55" lower once and it proved to be too much and the car went into reduced power mode because of excessive heat even at 65 degree ambient. The larger lower pullies only help hp for the first lap then the ECM dials back timing and really doesn't produce much more hp.

This is the type of racing I do. I only really give her some on the two main straights and cool down through the rest. It's pretty much just lining up people next to you and racing on the main straights. Do you think the 28% OD will be fine for it? Have a look at the YouTube link below to see. http://youtu.be/dFHZ-4bMzGw |

What lower would be recommended for up to 2 hour spirited driving back country roads and twisties?

VIR full is the only track I have run with the ZL1 and it is a similar configuration. 3.27 miles and 25 min sessions are brutal. 5 min everything is fine, but after that the water and oil temps start to creep up and the shorter sections aren't enough for a cool down. Autocross would be fine as those laps are not long and anything would work well. Full throttle on long straights produces a ton of heat even with the airflow and cooling upgrades. I have many laps logged and keeping the boost low is the only way to control excessive heat in the ZL1. My boost with the 10% overdrive lower (8.66") is 11ish psi vs the stock 8.6 psi and that is perfect for me. My hp is much lower 508/540 rwhp with a conservative road course tune, but it works well. Amazingly, it still runs 11.30@121 with the lower hp tune at the strip on a so so DA air day (+1500ft). Getting the brakes right with high temp fluid and watching pad wear is more important that hp. The stock pads are very good but Hawk DTC or Porterfield (ask Jess) are better after the stockers wear out.
