No such thing as a blind spot if you look over your shoulder like we were taught!!

+1. Angling your mirrors "out" seems weird at first... but that, in conjunction with speeding up to a gap before you merge, you get used to the blind spots. I don't even think about it anymore. Though I still wouldn't dare try to parallel park her. Another blind spot fix is a loud exhaust and a good throttle blip before merging. They'll move.

Now a siren from a firetruck or ambulance; but that's not you.
A) I'm not saying id pin the redline at someone, but i'd make someone aware (with blinkers on for 30 seconds or something) that im trying to merge if no one is giving enough space to get over. I spend a lot of time in traffic on the 17, and most people in AZ don't seem to be paying attention to whats going on around them (usually on their cell phones) while sitting in traffic. so you can imagine it can be hard to merge. I'm a very patient defensive driver most of the time. I'm not some 19 year old weaving in and out of traffic. B). Not sure what you're talking about having 2 seconds? Ever since I bought this car, SPECIFICALLY because of the blind spots and i'm stuck in traffic a lot, i'll try to merge WAY early. An exit or two ahead of time. But if im sitting there with my blinker on and someone's not letting me over, or not paying attention... I'll make myself known. Not trying to be some showboat revving at a girl... Im trying to merge. And the liquor store comment... way to judge someone you don't know. Classy.

Well, here's your lucky days this year.

I have them on all of my vehicles, I don't care if anyone thinks they look stupid. If they avoid me cutting in front of someone or worse, cause an accident they are more than worth it.

I have one on the drivers side, not sure the point on the passenger as visibility with that mirror is great. I'd never drive with out one.

Yes, I have them, yes I use them.

If you lived here and had to share the roads with the arrogant-aggressive 20+ MPH over the speedlimit on the feeder roads-no turn-signal tailgating-never look before you change lanes drivers we do, youd have them too.

Tried them on my 2011, took them off, they occupy too much valuable real estate on those small mirrors. I didn't have enough of the regular mirror to satisfy my view.
