Motorcycle cops are the bigggggggggggggggggggggggest tools. Why?! I have no idea. They just are?

The only ticket I received was from a motorcycle cop too, doing 35 in a 25. I DID contest it though, but the cop didn't show up, and I won. So no tickets on my record to date. Yet.

I've had three speeding tickets (so far) my entire life. The first one was when I was 16, I had my license for just two weeks when I was pulled over while driving my mother's AMC Hornet for going 90 mph on the freeway (55 was the limit back then so I was 35 over) had to go to Juvenile court and was put on driving probation. My next ticket came in 1986 while I was driving a Mustang GT, 62 mph in a 55. And the last one was the 28 in a 25 that I mentioned before. I'm thankful that I was never seen at the times when I was going well over a hundred.

Yeah, any more I try to activate the "limiter" inside my brain. I give myself a moment each day before I hit the streets and attempt to visualize myself being a courteous, law abiding driver who won't be antagonized or easily offended. It helps to some degree and I manage to be safe and "event" free. It can be difficult due to there being so many aggressive drivers on the roads these days but if I give it some forethought I usually can be better prepared to deal with things should they occur. (I'm speaking of extreme tailgaters, others revving their engines next to me at lights, people spraying me with their windshield washers on freeways etc.)

I got pulled over a lot in my last car (2011 Subaru WRX STI). I got pulled over once in this car for 46 in a 30 and window tint. I thought it was a 55 mph zone as I was unfamilar with the area and it wasn't residential. The cop said he clocked me at 60 in a 30, but was nice enough to right the ticket for 46. I actually went to court for this yesterday and got it reduced to a non-moving violation and $175 fine. Luckily, I have a relative who is a high-powered attorney in the area and i have had a clean driving record over the years...

With my Camaro haven't been pulled over yet since I bought it in September and now it's sleepin lol. I should have tickets of speeding though but need to slow down and control myself. Did get a ticket 5 years ago in my Grand Am GT for a rolling stop which was BS, I usually have to stop before my stop sign on my street cause trees are in the way then I can creep up and go well I stopped like I usually do creep up and go. I guess the cop was comin from my blind spot at the time and I turned in front of him and got a ticket. Long story short I fought it and won with settlement and no points on the license. Last real ticket was 11 years ago with the same car for a sound violation, seems I woke the cop up when he was sleeping lol. He asked if it was aftermarket I said no and gave me the ticket anyways.

I try to convince myself to do this every time I get in!

My only two speeding tickets were in 1970 (63 in a 55 on the NY Thruway) and in 1973 ("speed not reasonable and prudent") in Cobleskill, NY where I attended college. No other moving violations and one parking ticket in Boston.

Have there been times when I could have been ticketed? Of course. Who hasn't? I have been stopped probably three other times but not ticketed. I will not give details on an open forum other than to say I very rarely partake in excessive speed driving. And if I do, it is always in a "safe" environment.

You're luck you're not in NY. 3 moving violations in 18 months; they revoke your license.
