Hey, i got a 20x20 shop but the rollup door is barely wide enough to drive in, and i had to move stuff around to get it in there but it fits. My girl unlocks it and opens it up so i can drive in, and she makes sure i'm clear on both sides before i pull in and then lets me know when to stop when im pulling in. I want to build another shop so i can have the car by itself heh

cheapest and easiest way to keep doors safe just in case of brain malfunction is to attach about 3 pool noodles on each walls where the doors open. This along with the tennis ball deal and you should be good to go. Just always be wary of the mirrors when your pulling in

cheers

I cant speak for the Camaro itself, but I park my 1969 Coronet in my 1 car garage, and it really is a bit of a pain - I have to be super careful every time pulling in and out, so as to not scrape the sides of the garage door opening.

Luckily I dont drive the car often, but I probably would drive it more if it wasnt such a hassle to pull it in and out.

LOL Pool noodles thats a good idea! I have carpeting on the side walls of the garage and I have a Rolling Stones Tongue on the drivers side wall so when Iam next to the tongue I know Iam pulled forward enough.

Maybe mirrors with the ability to fold in will be available on the Convertible model.

I will make anyone who scraped the paint off their camaro mirror feel a whole lot better...

About 2.5 years ago I bought a brand new 07 black C6. Well I just started dating this girl (my wife now - yes she actually married me even after I did this). Well i lived in a townehouse with a 1 car attached garage. I always backed in b/c the way the garage was and the house door, backing in made entering/exiting the house and vehicle much easier. Well the garage floor was very slick concrete... I was backing in and got the rear wheels just in the garage and thought I would show off a little by doing a nice burn out into the garage... yea the passanger mirror snapped off like the losing side on a wish bone! I guess I was closer on the right then I thought. Mirror flew off and broke in a bunck of pieces. Now the real kicker is it put a couple stress cracks in the door and separated the inner and outer skin layers and screwed up the interior door panel. I was able to "fix" everything and make it unnoticable and I replaced the mirror.

To this day she never lets me live that down.... rightfully so!

EPIC FAIL BY ME!!

Hmmm. That tennis ball idea sounds GREAT! I may just have to do that. The floor plan of my garage is basically below. It's supposedly a 1.5 car garage and my wife prefers to park in the driveway on the right, so I have to take the left portion of the garage. My only problem is making sure I'm not so far in that my nose hits the stairs up to the house.

Instead of a tennis ball I chose to use retractable electrical cords that hang from the garage ceiling. This works in the same manner yet functions as an extension cord as well.

The doors are big and long that would be really hard to get out of once in your garage. Here is what I recommend. Get out of the car while outside and leave car in neutral then push car into the garage.

OMG I have a funny stupid story for that too!

In 1995, my dad had a 1995 Corvette that his DD. It was a lease as Corvette sales were in the toilet in the mid 90s so leases were cheap so he got that as his DD. Anyhow, it snowed one day while he was at work and the roads were plowed but his driveway was not. Well he got home and the front airdam was plowing the snow in his driveway. The snow piled up infront of the car and stopped the car. The car started spinning the wheels and created an ice spot. So he got out and instead of leaving the car out, he shoveled the snow and tried again. Now the ice patch was preventing any tractions so he did what any rational person would do.... no one else was home so he put the car in drive got out and started pushing no shit this is serious... so the car starts going and the rear tires hit the concrete... Lucky he has a double deep garage with a wood shop behind the parking area or the car would have gone through the back!

I have a 1.5 car garage and no shed. So with he work bench, mower, snow blower, garden tools, car tools, etc etc, it's pretty tight to get a car in there. I'm in the process of reworking everything in there and hanging more shelving to free up some floor space. Once done, there should be plenty of room. I park toward the right side so that exiting from the left, which is also where the work bench is, is very easy.

I won't have her until next spring, but making sure I'm ready. Getting new siding and gutters on it this week, and a new door (snow gets in ) in the spring. It's one of those built in the 60s houses where the garage is kind of an afterthought and not attached, so it's behind the house. I park in it currently w/the fusion, and used to w/the grand prix, and had no issues, just have to be really careful. Though, the wife hit the house once on the way out, which also happened to be the last time she ever asked to park in the garage
