Good write up (love the pics) - still like the "look" of the GY hands down....but living in Colorado I may have to consider the Michelin's when my GY's die - which will be a long time as I have had her for over a year and only 2000 miles on her

Thanks OP for your feedback and pictures, I'll most likely be changing to that tire by late summer. I'm right at 10,000 miles in 9 months.

I just bought a set of these for my new 1le I am picking up this weekend in DC. Driving across the country with it going through the south, Atlanta, Lousiana, Dallas, etc. wondering how they will handle...

OP, what's your plans with the old goodyears? I'd possibly be interested in them if your looking to sell.

Lower air pressure is what causes tire wear. Increasing to 37 PSI over 34 PSI will only improve your tire wear, not the other way around.

Tires look good. I'm worried about the shop damaging my wheels. Did the shop take good care of your wheels?

Got a set a few weeks ago myself. Absolutely love them. I will never drive the Goodyears in cold weather. Still planning on using the little tread that's left on my Goodyears for the track. I do think Ill end up enjoying the Goodyears better in warmer weather but will most likely stick with the Michelins for daily driving. Ill be surprised if I'm able to get the 40k miles out of them that they're rated for.

Thanks for this. I have 21,100 miles on my 14" 1LE. The rear tires have been replaced on rears 3 times. Fronts just replaced at 19,000. Count 2 of the rears due to nails to close to sidewall. I don't drive around peeling out or even chirp second. I do like to turn fast and corner fast. I think the goodyears. Don't last to long. Was looking for a tire to replace them with. I live in south Florida so always warm around here. I do appreciate the write up. Have any pictures from a side view?

I'm running AS3 on my car as well. Put them on at 1,700 miles. They work perfect for my driving and conditions.

Not sure about selling my Goodyears because they don't seem to sell for very much money, from what I've seen them sell for 300-400.00 plus shipping for all 4, which is basically buy one tire get three free, seems like a great deal for the buyer, lol. Oh! Then paypal scrapes off their share of the profit, kind of ruins my motivation to sell.

I'd rather just keep them for a spare set, or pick up a second set or rims.

Aren't you in the KC area? I'd give you $400 for them and no need to ship...
