Thought I'd share this clip I just saw of LS7 and LT4s being built.

LT1 does have one hell of a torque curve. A 6th gen SS 8L90E/ LT1 with a 3700 lb curb weight is looking pretty promising.

Great thread OP! I think the LS7 is underrated. The Z/28 seems a bit too fast in the 1/4 for 505 CHP. But Dynos don't lie. Comparing one engine dyno run to a different type of dyno or uncorrected or rear wheel can lie. Back to back crank measurement runs is on the same dyno is as close as you can get.

As for me I solved the problem of LS3s vs (N)LT1s and LS7s or even Voodoos by adding twin turbos to the LS3. Bring em all on. If I do not have enough power just turn up the volume knob and maybe add a two step.

What about all the other car trapping 112-116mph stock?

I mean you see what you wanna see. Like all the Ford fanboys think their stock 5.0 is gonna run 116mph because one dude did it. Yeah right. NOBODY is close to it with boltons/tune. Come on.
+1. Well said. Atco and Cecil are wonderful places to be when the track is well prepped and it's 40 degrees F and the DA is -5,000. Glad I live nearby both. Fun.

Must be fun to run there!! I can tell you that running here locally at +2000 DA, 585ft elevation, high humidity and uphill track makes no miracle!! C7 stock =113 mph where I am. I guess 115 mph is possible with power shifts and crazy launch...

What are Z28s running in your neck of the woods. I honestly think they run what they should. I really wouldn't turn my back on a LT1 powered vette though.

I have not seen a Z/28 run yet. I would expect low 12s with good driving and maybe very high 11s with an Atco hero run. There is at least one Z/28 on here I asked to come out and he says he might in the spring. But he would rather track. Can you imagine? I have seen LT1 Stingrays run mid 12s (auto newbie driver) to mid 11s. A shop car with LTS, some other unknown stuff, and a tune. I think one stock C7 squeaked into the 11s in good air. There could be other runs I miissed of course.

The fastest C6es I have seen lately are two NA Z06es. On running high tens and and one dipping very deep into the 10s. And in the summer there was a rear turboed C5 with about 850 rwhp. I am sure that was a 9 second car, but the guy was on street tires.

Looking forward to seeing the new Z06 and Hell Kitty battle it out.
