I just hand wash with Turtle Wax car wash.

Paste wax? Yeah, I used to do that in, like, 1970.

I use Black Magic Wet Shine wash and Mother's California Gold Brazilian Carnauba wax and it serves me (and my car) just fine.
You sound like a guy that would greatly benefit from some waterless wash.

used to be big on Mequiars too, but picked up a bottle of Zaino one time when I was in wal-mart (yes, they sell a few of the higher end waxes and polishes now) and found it to be a touch better. will probably stick with it

It's for lazy people?

I don't know how to wash something without using water. I've heard of it but never looked into it. Perhaps I should. Thanks.

Hmmm... I checked out http://freedomwaterlesscarwash.com/h...car-wash.html/ and their "waterless wash". Looks like just as much work as a regular wash job (and they do use water to wet the applicator towels). Plus, I don't see how it doesn't encourage scratching due to dirt particles on the car surface. I think I prefer a nice wet layer of triple-foam from the local car wash and then hand wash it - I do this fairly often rather than break out the buckets at home.

Buy a bottle of Ultima Waterless Wash. Stuff is cheap and works well

I've had great success and very excellent results with Turtle Wax Carauba paste as well as Zymol Carnauba wax.
