Seat adjuster recall pics?

Hey all, I'm trying to find some pictures on what gm is recalling about a seat adjust bolt. Comes loose and seat drops all the way down. I have my seat out and on the garage floor. I thought I saw some threads on it months back but can't find them. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I dropped mine off at the dealer a couple weeks ago and my service writer mentioned this recall. He said GM hasn't given them a repair procedure yet.

I'm curious myself what the fix is. I got the letter a month ago that I could take it in and get it fixed. Car is parked for the Winter so that's not happening soon. Just not sure it's something I want to waste hours going to the dealer if it is just a bolt replacement.

14271: Product Safety - Power Seat Height Adjuster Bolt - (Dec 15, 2014)
Subject: 14271 – Power Seat Height Adjuster Bolt

Models: 2011-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal 2010-2012 Cadillac SRX 2011-2012 Chevrolet Camaro2010-2012 Chevrolet Equinox2010-2012 GMC Terrain Equipped with Driver Power Seat Height Adjuster

It is a violation of Federal law for a dealer to deliver a new motor vehicle or any new or used item of motor vehicle equipment (including a tire) covered by this notification under a sale or lease until the defect or noncompliance is remedied.

All involved vehicles that are in dealer inventory must be held and not delivered to customers, dealer traded, or used for demonstration purposes until the repair contained in this bulletin has been performed on the vehicle.

Condition
General Motors has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2011-2012 MY Buick Regal and LaCrosse, 2010-2012 MY Cadillac SRX, 2011-2012 MY Chevrolet Camaro, and 2010-2012 MY Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain vehicles equipped with power height adjustable driver and passenger front seats. Some of these vehicles may have a condition where the bolt that secures the power front seat height adjuster can become loose or fall out. If the bolt falls out, the seat will drop suddenly to the lowest vertical position. The sudden seat movement may affect a driver’s ability to safely operate a vehicle or increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant in a vehicle crash.

Correction
Dealers are to replace the height adjuster shoulder bolt.

Vehicles Involved
All involved vehicles are identified by Vehicle Identification Number on the Investigate Vehicle History screen in GM Global Warranty Management system. Dealership service personnel should always check this site to confirm vehicle involvement prior to beginning any required inspections and/or repairs. It is important to routinely use this tool to verify eligibility because not all similar vehicles may be involved regardless of description or option content.
For dealers with involved vehicles, a listing with involved vehicles containing the complete vehicle identification number, customer name, and address information has been prepared and will be provided to US and Canadian dealers through the GM GlobalConnect Recall Reports, or sent directly to export dealers. Dealers will not have a report available if they have no involved vehicles currently assigned.

The listing may contain customer names and addresses obtained from Motor Vehicle Registration Records. The use of such motor vehicle registration data for any purpose other than follow-up necessary to complete this recall is a violation of law in several states/provinces/countries. Accordingly, you are urged to limit the use of this report to the follow-up necessary to complete this recall.

Parts Information
Parts required to complete this recall are to be obtained from General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales (GMCC&A). Please refer to your “involved vehicles listing” before ordering parts. Normal orders should be placed on a DRO = Daily Replenishment Order. In an emergency situation, parts should be ordered on a CSO = Customer Special Order.

Part Number - 23278155
Description - Attachment Kit, F/Seat Vert Adjr
Quantity/Vehicle - 1 or 2

Service Procedure
  1. Adjust the driver front seat into the fully upward and forward position.
Note: It is NOT necessary to remove the adjuster and lever knobs, nor disconnect the electrical connector noted in the procedure below. The finish cover (1) can be detached and repositioned to gain access to the vertical adjuster actuator bolt.
  2. Remove the front seat outer adjuster finish cover (1) from the seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Outer Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (with Power Height Adjuster) in SI.

  1. Remove the seat vertical adjuster actuator bolt (1) and discard.
  2. Install the new shoulder bolt (1) with integral washer (2), and the locknut (3) from the retainer kit.
    1. From the outboard side, install the shoulder bolt w/integral fastener to the bracket and torque to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).
    2. From the rear underside of the seat, thread the locknut onto the threads of the shoulder bolt and torque to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
  3. Reinstall the front seat outer adjuster finish cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Outer Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (with Power Height Adjuster) in SI.
  4. If the vehicle is equipped with a passenger seat power height adjuster, repeat steps 1 - 5 on the passenger side front seat.

Thanks for posting that MS3DALE, I've also been looking for the proceedure/part number so I can just do the fix myself. Looks like the kit is only a couple bucks.
