I just ran a best of 12.7@110mph 2 weeks ago with 700 miles on my bone stock 14 5.0 premium with Brembo package and 3.31 gears. I owned a 13 5.0 with 3.73's (hated the 3.73's) and a 14 SS M6 this last year. I got frustrated with the Camaro only running best times of 13.3 stock and 12.8 with full bolt ons (stock tires). So I traded it on a new 14 5.0. When I was a the track there was a full bolt on 5.0 with (seats and swaybars removed) that ran a best of 11.4 @ 121 mph. So I see no reason a full bolt on 5.0 can't hang with a cammed Camaro.

How often do you see Camaro on this forums with drag racing seats, no rear seats, V6 brakes conversion to run big tires with nice small drag wheels, weight reduction and all the necessary upgrades to make the IRS fast on the track? NEVER NEVER NEVER. Mustang owners dont mind to get their hands dirty and modify the hell out of their ride for drag racing. The SS crowd is more about body/wheels/lights upgrade and 'handling'(maybe). So yess a full weight SS with a ok running cam, full gas tank aint gonna put buses on a tuned 5.0, but that doesnt make sense to me for some reason. I'd expect my SS to destroy any tuned 5.0, but I am not cammed...still.

Not everybody is stuck on going to the track. I'd rather have my car the way I like it for the street since I drive it everyday. Everybody's opinion is different of course. I just don't have the kind of money to spend on slicks and skinny's or risk breaking a axle or ds. I guess that's why I get shitty numbers at the track and it is disappointing but as soon as I leave my self esteem comes back up again.Lol.

Don't mean to be an ahole, but for someone with a car as fast as yours I figure you would know what rs adds to the car. A 2ss adds leather, gauge cluster, hud a few other things(which I have) rs adds Hid lights satellite radio antenna is body colored, the wheels I also believe are a different shade and tail lights are suppose to be darker.

Dammit, where are my leather seats and premium audio system cause I have a SS with RS package. I now have a serious bone to pick with GM. Not to mention the money I spent adding the 4 pack gauges.
