Anyone try Meguiar's D302 polish?
I am thinking of buying DA microfiber pads with D300, and since the new D302 is the MF version of m205, I would be interested in hearing how D302 handles camaro's clearcoat when paired with a microfiber finishing pad? Before the introduction of D302, it seems most people were using m205 with foam pads as the finishing polish.
Thanks!

If you do use it post up some before and after photos and 50/50 shots for us to see how it works.

Yes I used this system. The 302 Polish is for removing haze left by the D300 compound. I had only a few panels that required it, you may have less or more as no 2 paint jobs are exactly alike.
I was very satisfied with it. Lots of videos on you tube how to use it. This is the most informative one. Oh and make sure to get the proper OPM setting for the machine your using. |

Thanks. Do you know how it compares to the 105/205? This is the kit I was looking at.

The D300/301/302 are less aggressive but use more aggressive microfiber pads. You also get no sling at all with microfiber pads, and no dusting with the D300 compound. I haven't used 105/205 but got this info from Brandon at meguiars customer service, he is great to deal with. This may be a better price than what you have. Same kit. http://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-DMCKI...004090-5008720 |

Here is another video of the cutting of the D300 with the microfiber pad. It finished down like this on most of my car.
I used the 302 polish in the areas that got haze from the D300 and they finished down the same. Last edited by Joe M 2012 2SS; 02-16-2015 at 08:57 PM. |

1 last video of a car with heavy defects using this system with the DMX cutting pads instead of the DMC.

Thanks for all the videos. It seems like it could be a pretty good system with the microfiber pads. I talked to a tech at autogeek and he said that the microfiber would cause micro marring?

This system was designed for the modern harder OEM paints. I have also used it on a friends Honda Accord which had buffer swirls and automatic car wash scratches. The Honda had softer paint than my Camaro, hazed more, so I used the 302 on the whole car. No problems. Here is a review of someone who has used it more extensively than what I have, He did say he had marring on "troublesome" paints. http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...rofiber-System and another http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...-System-Part-2!!! I am really confused at this point. I emailed meguires a couple days ago, and they are saying that I should go with a foam pad (these) http://www.autodetailingsolutions.ne...ch-bundle.html
I'm just not sure what pads to use with the 105/205 or the paint correction system. I don't want to make things worse, but I have read so much I think I have confused myself...lol |

I haven't used the 105/205, lots of people use Orange CG hex logic for compound and white for polish. What do you already have? If you have the 105/205 you don't need the DMCKIT, just pads and backing plate. I can't tell you that 105/205 is better or worse than the DMCKIT, all I know is the DMCKIT was very easy to use and gave great results for me. You'll have to decide which one is best for you.
