The bigger question is how the hell are they able to discount the cars 5500 BEFORE the rebates. Ive called all the local dealers in socal and the best ive got is 2200 off the msrp

If all the dealers apply various gm discounts ( invoice minus hold back - rebates) then how the hell can there be more money to be had as far as the discounts are concerned.

They aren't. I bought my car from them. The posted "wow" price is with all incentives and rebates. I bought my 2014 back in June and got it for 37k. Would've been happier with that 20% off deal, but in the end 37k wasn't bad at all for the car.

Reminds me of a Buick dealer here that had twenty-two New 1987 Grand Nationals on the lot. That dealership dissolved a couple years later.

I guess by todays standards, throwing a "everything but the kitchen sink" price is ok as long as you disclose its with all discounts and rebates that you may or may not qualify for.

I've seen a couple of dealers that advertise that way, show the cars on there website without that disclamer, and when you inquire, that car magically "got sold last night".

One dealer near Akron pulls this stunt with all their dealerships, even though I pointed out to them the car that I was inquiring about, that was "just sold" , according to a VIN inquiry on the Ohio BMV website, was sold 5 months earlier.
And the bastards are still doing it.

I purchase mine from there in 2013 (a 2014 yellow 1le). They actually ordered me one and took my Harley as my trade. Dave S. was my salesmen, he was awesome and honest. I drove down from Delaware because no one in Delaware even knew what a 1LE was and couldn't come close to the price.

Working with Koons right now to buy one of their 1LE's. Larry is my advocate and so far everything is going smooth. I'll keep you all posted.

Deal went bad after they demanded I pay them for estimated Oklahoma tag and tax, store policy not state law. still confused as to why they wanted the extra work for the only benefit of having an extra $1,800 for 30'days .. Oh well

You should never pay out of state taxes until you register with your home state. That is the way we do it in Ohio.

Not sure what you were looking for but I was just at Friendly Cheverolet here in Dallas yesterday for an oil change and they have 3 1LE's on the lot. Can't remember all the details but....A Red Hot 2SS/1LE (Recaros, NPP, NAV), Black 1SS/RS/1LE (NPP) & Summit White (saw this one from a distance not sure what it has)

Also had a Red Hot Z/28 in the showroom!! The brakes on that thing are just INSANE

Can't say it for most dealers, and I know it's not a 1LE, but Henna Chevrolet in Austin did me right when they had their "blowout" price on a model year end closeout on their ZL1 convertible. It's not as great of a deal as they are now, but I got it for the advertised discount price on their website and on the Autotrader ad and drove it home in August of 2013. So I would say that I got an honest deal on the car for the amount that I was willing to pay. And they even took my GM Card points off of that! Here's the ad below.

Sorry I'm a few months late to replying to this. But yes, this happened to me along with some other shady issues. I put my story here on the forum when it happened. Along with a compliant to BBB which was never resolved. Long story short I had purchased a 1LE through Koons then ultimately had to return my loan check and purchased from another dealer in Virginia. I ended up with a ZL1 after it was said and done.
