Window problems when opening door?

So, I noticed this today out of nowhere. You know when you open the door, the window goes down about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch? Well, my driver door is going about an inch and a half down when I open the door. I inspected closer, and it still functions fine. It goes all the way back up to form a seal, it just lowers much farther than before. I tested the passenger door, it still acts normally. Just the driver door is acting strange. I took a picture of passenger vs driver door. Has anyone else had this problem? What could this be from?

Does any thing show up in your information screen about indexing the driver door window? It possible that it lost indexing Try lowering the window all the way down and up a couple of times.

Re index it. Should fix it. Easiest way is to unplug battery and reconnect after 10 mins or so. If not, window motor :/.

Yea I've had to re-index a couple times before. When installing the mods. It's just weird that this randomly started happening today. I tried rolling all the way down and back up a few times. I'll try unplugging the battery and re-indexing. Wish it wasn't so damn cold outside. I pray it isn't a motor issue. I was afraid when I bought the car about that feature in the cold. Hope it's not crapping out
Although car is still under bumper-bumper warrantee.

Window indexing

Happened to my passenger window last month and I put off going through the procedures to correct the indexing and about a week or so later i got a window indexing message on the DIC running me through the steps on correcting it... I guess the car got tired of waiting on me to fix it myself

HA! Yep, no catch can... your fault!

But really... mine indexes normally (1/2" or so) 98% of the time. However, every now and then, it will go for a couple of days in which it's taking a journey of a couple of inches when I open the door. It still seals up correctly when I close the door, and, after a couple of days, it resumes its "regular" 1/2" travel.

There are not a lot of car problems that might fix themselves after a couple of days of pretending it's not there... but this seems to be one of those for me. You might just wait it out, see what happens. As long as it seals up when the door is closed, I don't think there's too much to worry about.

From the Owner's Manual:
Programming the Power Windows - If the battery on the vehicle has been recharged or disconnected, or is not working, you may need to reprogram the windows for the
express-up feature to work. Before reprogramming, replace or recharge the vehicle's battery.
To program each front window:
1. With the ignition in ON/RUN, close all doors.
2. With the window partially open, pull the power window switch up until the window is fully closed.
3. Repeat Step 2 on all remaining windows.
The windows are now reprogrammed.
