I get asked this all the time. When I dropped it off at the shop, my tuner said it'll be between 410-415 because his Mustang Dyno tends to read lower. He previously did another 1LE with long tubes, intake and tune and it made 417rwhp and 412 rwtq. He thought the calibration or something was wrong with his dyno and put on his truck that made 380rwhp before and it made 380rwhp again. Every one was shocked and nobody knew the reason it made so much, his only explanation was that I got hella lucky with a good motor. Later that same day an automatic ZL1 with headers and cai made 460rwhp and 458rwtq. I was only 18 rwhp away from a ZL1 with the same mods.

Yes, but his dyno is known for being extremely stingy.

Why would you trust the numbers that you get if you know a certain car should put down more horsepower than it is showing, something is not right. That ZL1 should be close to 530 or 540. You should be around 380 rwhp with the mods you have not anywhere near 440. Put it on a different dyno and I will almost guarantee you will not get near that number.

380 is way low for a manual ls3 with mods. More like a stock one. My 2013 with intake, cat less headers and tune did 424whp on a mustang dyno. Only way to really tell is take it to the track, I trapped 112 to 114 mph depending on conditions at that power level

Damn, so many haters in this post. I made 383 bone stock in 110 degree heat in the middle of summer. I then made 415 with the mods and no tune, then 442 with the tune. I took it to another dyno in town and this was a DynoJet and I made 456 rwhp. I don't know what you want me to say, I guess I got the best LS3 put into the Camaros. Your guess is as good as mine. And by the way I'm trapping 116-117.

I would say that is a lot of power to pull from the tune, which generally means lots of advance. If your going to nitrous, you will need to retard timing when the nitrous is on and your going to need more fuel even if the 1LE comes with a ZL1 pump. Look at the FI section for the nitrous thread and learn how to read plugs or you will have the best LS3 with holes in it.

Not hating, just telling you what I've been taught. If you're going to be an engineer, now is a good time to start engineering a safe, stable car to race.

You are on some pretty strong cool aide....

At least your statements are on par with most of your other posts. No way you made those gains with your mods, unless daddy bribed the tuner to fudge the numbers.
