Flowmaster Outlaw or Super HP2 mufflers

Hi all,

Wondering if there was anyone out there that was running the Flowmaster Outlaw or Super HP2 mufflers? I had seen someone post a link to a short vid of their V6 with the Outlaws, but I couldn't find it again.

I believe the Outlaws are race mufflers/resonators, so that may cause a lot of rasp, so the Magnaflow resonated XPipe might have to be used to tone down the drone/rasp. As far as the Super HP2s, haven't seen anyone with those. I did run into a couple of the DBx clips...not sure, but the DBx sound weird (really quiet until you romp on the throttle...maybe it was the video)

just curious if anyone else has used the Super HP2s or Outlaws? If so are there any vids out there and what are your reviews on them?

PS - I know I've been posting on and off about different exhausts, just hate to have buyers remorse after spending the cash for something. LOL

EDIT: HERE IS A LINK TO THE VID...IT'S ONLY 15 SECONDS. LOL! IS ANYBODY ELSE RUNNING EITHER OF THESE TWO MUFFLERS???

Thanks Fury!

I'm anxious to hear what it sounds like...especially if there are any clips under heavy load and/or WOT

Heres the longer video, some idle and revs, it has the ghost cam at idle is why its loopy. It has a small popping sounds when it lets off around 3rpm. If you have any questions ill answer, also if you do decide the get any flowmaster muffler, i didnt get mine off their website because it adds a cali tax but some other sites do nothttp://m.youtube.com/watch?v=b1-lUM4tWGE
I cant get the video to pop up on the thread until i get on a computer, im using my phone

How loud would you say the drone is? Have you noticed any change in tone/break in period with the mufflers? If so, has the rasp toned down or has the note deepened? Sorry for the 50 questions. LOL

I was checking out some pictures and it looks like it's a straight through almost like an MRT V1

Yes, the muffler is just straight through with round metal baffles. The drone is really noticable around 2rpm if you dont delete the resinators, but if you do delete the resinators the drone is reduced alot and really no longer to noticable. Iam a fan of drone so i dont mind. I believe the mufflers dont really have a break in, i havent noticed but they may. It has little rasp around 3rpm but deleteing the resanators helped deepen the note and now not much rasp at all. Im running the stock h pipe

I ordered some outlaws off ebay @ $170 shipped.
When they arrived i opened the box and discovered i had ordered 9" long 3" in/out by mistake.. They are Strait through..NO WAY would i use those!

i ended up ordering a set of Super 44s 2.5" in/out. offset/offset from local auto parts store.
Had a local shop install the 44s today. only swapped with the stock mufflers..no pipe..
Sounds great and no drone.

Just to clarify, removing resonators will increase interior resonance, or drone.
