84 degrees today. Just turned the house AC on for the first time this year. Welcome to Orlando.

I just finished chipping the ice out of my driveway. The top of my head is peeling from the sunburn I got last week in the 'vert!

I figured even though Carfax said no accident damage it had to have been wrecked and not fixed right.

It wouldn't surprise me if Hertz has their own body shops, or at least contracted shops, and does their own repairs... and for obvious reasons, would not report that to carfax.

I have owned a couple of former rental vehicles and they ended up with 150,000+ miles when I traded them off. However, none of them were sports cars. I would NEVER touch a former rental muscle car. I had a rental V6 Mustang once...

Just got back from Seattle and rented a maroon 2015 RS Convertible. While it was a nice car it wasn't my 2010 2SS/RS, only real thing I liked was the convertible part and the back up camera. Not much else the V6 seemed thirsty and the automatic seemed to shift up and down a lot.

I rented a SS vert and I wasn't impressed mainly because there was no exhaust sound and terrible shifting transmission. Oh and that interior has got to go, it's great that the 6th gen is right around the corner.

No! No... you didn't. You didn't just drop the "FP" bomb in a thread about renting a 'vert and how the top works!

I did forget to mention that the back seat in a convertible is useless, I had a hard time fitting a suit case back there. No way anyone except a small child would fit.

My mom bought a used rental car once. It was a Malibu. Luckily, she also bought the extended warranty. It was in the shop... a lot. I rented a 2015 Camaro V6 convertible in Florida. I drove it like I stole it. It was a LOT of fun. I hated giving it back, but I would not want to own that car.

What kind of suitcase do you have? A steamer trunk? Not really much difference between the coupe and convertible's back seat. It's narrower by a few inches is all. Actually with the top down its more useful than the coupe... I brought home a 60" TV in the back seat. Try that in a Coupe.

I hope that doesn't cause problems from for the person who buys it.
It probably will but you're not to blame by any means... The Rental place should have said something...
