BMR Motor Mounts (Poly)

I just installed some BMR Poly Bushing Motor Mounts and I have a pretty good vibe when I start off in first gear, but that's really it. I was wondering if other people with the BMR mounts have the same kind of vibe or if I missed something on the install.

NVH is a common byproduct of poly engine mounts. It will ease up a little over time as the poly breaks in, but you'll always have more vibrations than stock; it's just the nature of the beast.

Yea I was expecting some more NVH, it is just rough on take off in first gear. No other problem in any gear while driving. I checked the install and it seemed the passenger side mount was a little loose. I tightened it up some and it felt a little better. I'm gonna try and get it tighter tomorrow and see how it feels. Other than that it feels better with the new mounts.

Yeah, the mounts felt a little "rough" on my car too when I first put them on....it will mellow out after a few hundred miles. I can't tell the difference from stock now.

Hey Keith, do y'all have the mounts in stock? I'm about to throw on a set of long tubes and figure while I've got the clearance... Thanks bro!

Sorry for a short hijack, OP, all is well with the mounts now?

Last time I looked we had a couple sets in the Black Hammertone color on the shelf, ready to ship. We can make up a set in red in just a couple days.

Excellent... Thank you sir. Color doesn't matter, hopefully I won't see them again for a long time!

Just finished up mine today and must say they do let you know your motor is running. My car is pretty noisey already due to LTs, hi flow cats and cam so a little more nvh is not a big deal.. Did you use the plates under the mounts or did you lower the engine 1/4 inch?

I lowered the engine, I figured why not. I love the feel of the solid mounts, just the rattle at launch is annoying, but seems to be getting better.

I just got my bmr mounts and trying to put them together. But can't fit the poly bushing thru the hole in the mount. Is it suppose to go in the hole or just on it?
