Old BMW with bumper falling off

Dear BMW heading north on I87 today,

I respectfully decline your offer to race as I was worried your rear bumper would make it the rest of the way off your vehicle.

Sincerely,

Camaro driver minding his own business on cruise control.

That said, how would one fair in a 60mph rolling start with an older, beat-up 328i series? He did some WOT and didn't seem to pull away especially fast. No black smoke though, he may have kept the engine better than the body.

Numbers look about even with the V6.

[I don't condone nor do I participate in street racing, just a casual question]

What's funny is this is the first time in many months anyone on the street showed interest in comparing vehicles, and on this particular trip I had the very rare opportunity of having a coworker driving shotgun. Thankfully he was entertained by the whole display by the other driver.

[should note the other driver was respectful but persistent, kept sending flowers but wasn't ringing the doorbell]
