Engine Cover -- Underside Material
Hi all!
Wanted to make a vented engine cover and had a couple questions. I was going to cut areas out of the stock engine cover and attach some metal screen material. When I remove the engine cover and flip it over, I can't tell how the insulation on the underside of the cover is attached and how to attach/fasten the screen material once the areas in the cover are removed. I was thinking of drilling a small hole and using a pair of tin snips to snip out the areas of plastic on the covers where I want to use the screen. Then there is the trick of how to attach and fasten the metal screen material. Has anyone done this and if so, what were some of your lessons learned or suggestions? |
