I see so many Gen5 Camaros on the roads these days I don't even notice them anymore. I was following one the other day for about 10 miles before I said, "Hey, that's a SS Camaro in front of me."

Camaro really isn't doing bad considering it's virtually the same as last year. The Challenger got a facelift and the Mustang has been completely overhauled.

If you live in a big city yeah, I see more challengers than camaros and mustangs.

Ironically I live within driving distance of two volume Dodge and Ford dealers. There's two new Mustangs at my gym and a professor has one on campus. I've seen four new challengers. All were v6s except the blonde woman at the gas station driving the r/t.

I've been thinking... should you combine Charger with Challenger numbers? I know it's a different car but it's basically the same platform.

No ! Because it's still not a challenger or a pony/muscle car and not a two door! The Chevy ss supposed to be the 4 door version of a Camaro but we're not adding it to the Camaro sales! I would only add it if it was just about performance cars but some wouldn't take a charger if the challenger wasn't made , even if they're hard core Dodge fans.

I saw a 2015 Mustang in a really nice green color, reminded me of the fast back Mustang from the movie Bullit. In fact the 2015 car really reminds me of the 1968 fastback Mustang which is actually my favorite body style for classic Mustangs.

as you might know, they made a green Bullitt Mustang not too long ago. emblems were removed... it was pretty sweet.

I just got back from holidays and one thing I can tell you is the rental car fleets are full of new Mustangs. They have taken on a crap load of them for rental cars.

And more power to them because we need a strong Mustang and Challenger to keep pushing GM to develop and improve the Camaro.

Like it or not the camaro has its hands full this year with the vibrant mustang. And if you don't like how I express this then that's too bad.

LOL, if you don't like how I express my feelings then that's too bad too. It was still a dumb comment.

Sure Mustang is the fleet king but that still doesn't account for the pent-up purchases of the 2015 model.

2013 Fleet Sales; (% of total sales):
Mustang 17,998; (23.3%)
Challenger 9,281; (18%)
Camaro 8,833; (11.1%)

I haven't seen the final 2014 registrations yet but over the years, Mustang has always had higher rental sales.

On Mustang fleet percentages they were working with a vehicle that for the general buying public didn't have the appeal of the Camaro. They had an all new car which they knew they needed coming for the 2015 model year, really it comes down to keeping things afloat until you get there.

When you consider fleet percentages and when you consider discounting the Mustang sales figures over the past few years hasn't been that impressive. However with the 2015 Mustang they have a much better overall vehicle when compared to the current Camaro and Challenger. They can demand the transaction prices with this new model and they won't have to depend on rental fleets as much.

And can't forget most ppl want a less do it yourself car and a more convenient car . The Camaro's always have ppl complaining about how they can't see out of it.
