I just got my car out the shop and I notice something was missing from this part of the engine but not sure what goes here. Can someone help me out as to what connects to this fitting. Pictures will help alot thank you.

It's for other LS applications that are not vented like these motors.

That's the crankcase vent (Positive Crankcase Ventilation system)

From factory, there should be a plastic hardline running from that vent to a port behind the throttle body.

In my supercharged application I have a hose clamped on the vent, running to a catch can, then to the intake.

The purpose of this is the keep the dirty oil and condensation from being sent back into the intake.

I'm not too sure if there'll be any issues running like that on an n/a setup.

his is like the pic Jsafe17 posted. Do not run your car with out that cap. call the shop and tell them they better find it or get you one now. It has to be capped off or you will be sucking dirt in there. You can go to the auto parts store and get a rubber cap to cap it off but dont leave that on there for a year as it will dry out and crumble. You can also get one from the dealer. Shouldnt cost more than a few $. The shop should get you one from the dealer if they cant find it.

you could also put a piece of duct tape on it to cap it off for a week while your waiting for a new gm one. Just need to cap it off.

Okay thank you every one I was worried that they missed putting a hose on here. I'll get one tomorrow from autozone or pepboys since it is my daily driver and hit the dealership sometime this week.
