OK well here is what I was thinking and I am no electrician but I do understand the concept.

Lets use the DRL and the halos. There will be a hot and ground running to the halo that is switched with the headlight switch. There is also a hot and ground running to the DRL that is controlled automatically but can be disabled by the headlight switch. My thought was simply "jump" hot to hot from the halos to the DRL. Now if I am correct you will now complete in essence two circuits. First, the DRL will come on automatically and the hot will also go to the halos so technically if you leave you DRLs on, you will have DRLs and halos. I ALWAYS turn them off so no big deal. On the other hand when you flip your headlight switch to parking lights (1 click) the halos will come on and the fogs will draw power from them and you will have halos and fogs. If you wanted to go a little further, you could switch the jumper, that way the system would work as normal when the switch was off. This would probably be the best way to go but youd have more wire that your have to run inside the cabin plus a switch youd have to hide.

I think it would work very well and be fairly easy.

Please excuse the crude diagram but I think it shows what you need. The blue is the added wires. Now you may not need to jump to the passanger side DRL. I am betting it is already jumped to the driver side from the factory. So you may just have to jump from the driver DRL to the switch to the driver halo. Likewise you may have to jump the passanger side halo (not shown) or else you may get only one halo if you don't flip the new switch and open the circuit. Not sure how it is wired. Seems liek a very easy thing to do if you can access the wires easily. Sounds like a weekend project! Hope I dont burn my car to the ground!

Thoughts?

Uh, there are no Fog Lights on the RS Package. Those are DRL's.

Read the owner's Manual.

wait a minute.... you cant use the HALOs at night? so the only point of them is to look cool during the day?

if the halos are not bright enough to use at night, and you cant use them at the same time as your HIDs ... then basically you can never use your halos at night while driving?????????

No, not correct. The halos are also on when your HID projector headlights are on. Think of the halos as your parking lights. When your parking lights are on, whether is just those or those plus your headlights, then your halos are on.

Your parking lights are never bright enough to only use those at night - without your headlights also.

First thing I do is switch them off. Did on the C5 and C6 too so i am used to it. Anyhow, I am going to rewire the the fogs to come on with the halos so they will always be on when the halos are. I may do a switch so i can have just the halos and not the fogs. It will be easy, just more wires and then I have to figure where to mount the switch inside the car without drilling any holes.

Anyone done this yet?
I'm doing this same thing, I'm just waiting for a back ordered part to come in. I'm taking the non RS light switch which has the fog light button in it, and I'm going to wire that to the DRL's turning them into fogs. I'm replacing the fogs with HID projectors, not sure from what car though. When it's done I'll post pics for everyone.

Thanks. Not one of my better photography decisions...Hmm, let's stand on top of a 6-story parking garage as a huge thunderstorm, complete with cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-ground lightning, passes over. Pictures turned out alright but not a smart move on my part.

GREAT IDEA! You do it first and tell me what you did so I can copy! The non-RS switch is an excellent idea!

I have a non RS SS (not my choice) but i called the dealer to install the halo on my car, they are waiting on a harness, I wonder how the non rs center button on the switch will affect averything. why do people keep saying the fog lights are the DRL on the SS they are not.. they do not come on unless you push the button. the DRL are the standard halogens..
