Cutouts and decel pop

Hello, recently i did my long tubes stainless power headers, catless midpipes and catback exhaust along with all the bolt ons, and had my car tuned by redline motorsports in pompano beach. Im very happy with the performance but after swapping to a magnaflow exhaust i feel its too quiet and im missing my decel pop! im gravitating twords cutouts so i can control the volume, my question is if i get the cutouts with my setup will i get that decel pop back or will it just increase the sound? Another option would be buying an axleback, im looking to purchase the outlaw if cutouts wouldnt give me what i want.. thoughts??

I'm not an expert but I think they tuned that out. You can ask your tuner to get that back

No, it still has decel pop but since i replaced the mufflers i can only hear it sometimes. The mufflers i had were shot and didnt sound well. But these magnaflow have a great tone but the volume isnt there. do you know if cutouts will do have decel pop?

decel "popping" the unburnt gasoline igniting as it leaves the exhaust for fresh air is not something you would reallllllllllly want to hear from "cut outs" as they are already under the car and the fire from them may be somewhat hazardous and of course the car will be obnoxiously loud and a ticket magnet more than what you have now, and with a tune for just performance altering the automatic trans you have they are not going to run it more rich like a cam would make the tuner tune for which does make more decal popping....as you never want to lean out the engine...... Solution: cam the car someday... or ask for more "pop" in your tune so you can loose gas mileage. Cut outs historically have been for racing not for everyday driving. A cut out is basically a exhaust delete, and if you think you can control it by opening it only so far that's just......

Absolutely you can here it clearly it's loud so are the backfires.

You can here it with stock catback aswell obviously it's far more subtle.

I am assuming it's because your magnaflows are more restricted. I have a pretty open exhaust and get lots of pops and my car is tuned and my air/fuel ratio is spot on

My SS exhaust is stock except for my Solo-J pipe axle backs. Besides the great sound the
exhaust pops like crazy. Love it !
