gen5diy.com

will be your friend. I though about doing this upgrade myself...just not sure about ripping apart the dash to do it....

Everything stated in this thread is accurate. Regardless, I wouldn't trade my PTM-less, colorless HUD, speed limited, old-style rear head light, '13 IOM drop top for anything.

It's the best one Chevy made, IMO... Sorry, I had to throw that in.

Actually both the Vert and the Coupe are speed limited at the factory. It's just that the Coupe is limited to 185 ( I believe) and the Vert is limited to 155.

My mistake. This is probably where I got that idea.
I do know the Vert is limited at 155.

EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE
From the strip to the street

Feel the rush of a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 with 580 horsepower and 556 lb.-ft. of torque. This aluminum-block engine is based on the legendary GM small block V8 architecture and features an intercooled supercharger system and premium heat-resistant aluminum alloy cylinder heads.
It’s available with a TREMEC® 6-speed manual (MG9) or available Hydra-Matic® 6L90 automatic transmission. With power you can feel, ZL1 tops out at 184 mph with the available automatic, and covers a quarter-mile of pavement in just 12 seconds.
One more reason you’ll get there fast is the standard Performance Traction Management on Coupe. It features launch control that automatically modulates engine torque for the best possible acceleration without excessive wheel spin.

I thought the auto topped at 187, and the tremec at 184? Ah guess we can run at Belle Isle? lol look forward to meeting you there.

I'll be the one with the black Vert begging for a ride (even as shotgun) in a Z/28 around the track.

Hill Assist was added in 2013 for the manuals. It's not on the 2012's.
