If you are happy with your V6 then screw everyone else. Unless everyone is going to pay for your monthly payment tell them to shove it. I don't like the fact that some people scream to tell you that a V6 isn't a real muscle car. I personally wanted a V8 however since I couldn't afford it I got a V6 and I am happy with it. There are times that I wish I had a V8 cause trust me the exhaust note of a V8 is always sweet. But I wouldn't trade it or sell it. Especially after all the work and experience I've gone with this car. So tell them to pay for your car payments. Then let's see what they have to say.

I'm going to use these! Great responses.
Adding... "How much horsepower does your Camaro have?"

But back to the OP original question....

Just tell them at 323hp you love your V6 and would stack it up against almost any other V6 out their right now. And I always liked asking them what car they drive and they usually backed out of the conversation real quick. lol

"Well, with that comment, I see you don't know anything about cars."

And just walk away.

Who cares what anyone else thinks. I love my v6. I bought it cause I didnt want to drop the extra coin on the v8. Its plenty fast.

The normal response I've been getting lately to this question is "it's still pretty quick" so I think the general population respects the V6 in our cars.

I get crap from people sometimes, but I don't care. I was asked, "is your car fast?" I say," it runs great for a V6"!

Just tell them 304/312/323 horsepower (depending on your year). The number is impressive regardless. I'd compare it to a 2009 Mustang GT (a mere 300 HP) but I get scolded comparing to older cars.
