Lol all this debate you could daily drive a Ferrari if you wanted to and had no problem with regular maintanence . I know someone who daily drives amg cars and no problems . I daily drive my ss rain or shine 10 degrees or 80 degrees and I'm just fine .

Got mine in September with 8,600 miles on it and now with only 10,500 miles I love it. It's mostly a DD except during the winter months then it will get stored. This will be my first full year with it but the months I drove it last year it was a lot of fun. And like a lot of others said get snow tires for the car and you will be fine. The stock tires are fine on the car but when it dips below 45F take it easy on them you will lose a bit of traction and in the rain be extra careful, but that's with a lot of summer only tires. If you have the extra cash to spare, build it up to your liking you will find a lot of vendors on here always having parts for sale so dig in and welcome to the family.

Yeah. Well I plan on keeping my 91 Z28. Going to put the 5th gen in the garage in crappy weather. So the 91 Z28 will be used in the snow and stuff till I start working on it. After that I will have to use the 5th gen all the time. The main project it turning my 91 Z28 into a touring style car,I have a ton spent on the suspension on the 91 z28 just nothing is installed yet. On the SS I will probly just do a my usual tweeks, Borla catback (ATAK for the SS), K&N intake, and other small stuff just to help it breath better. I don't plan on keeping the SS forever for me its just an enjoyable DD for the next 5 or 7 years.

I passed a black Ferrari 458 this morning. Guess I'll have to drive around cam in hand like everyone else. Not my DD. Just can't. Too much traffic. Too many bad drivers. Too many unsafe lots to leave it parked in. : (

I'm in the minority here. But due to my drive to work I prefer my Lexus is250 over the Camaro. My drive is 26 miles each way. There are more red lights than you can count and the Max speed limit is 45. It takes an hour each way to cover those 26 miles with the traffic I have to deal with. The camaro just doesn't seem like the stop and go commuter for me. Don't get me wrong, I love the car, just not for my commute.

Drive mine every day at 75 MPH round trip its like a 80 mile drive. My LS3 is mostly stock just RotoFab Intake, x pipe, super 44s and a throttle controller. None of these mods hurt my milage. Skinny pedal hurts mileage. Its a good daily.

Sorry to disappoint!
Oh, maybe because the last generation of Camaros that could be had with 400+ and never with 580hp were all out race cars that were impossible to find only available to racers.

The idea of being able to slap a set of headers and tires on car and cut 12s all day and then drive it through your rush hour commute is a fairly new phenomena.

Perhaps you would be more impressed with an exotic, but they are far more expensive and less reliable.

You drive 30 miles a week? lol. You could drive a bugatti every day at that rate and not worry about reliability.

know that you will need winter tires if your going to drive it all year around in PA. the factory PZeros are not safe to be used under 40 degrees.

I'm not saying I'm not impressed. I have had many of the generations including my 1st car which was a1st. These are a mass produced and can get relatively cheap and to your point a car that is very reliable and can produce some amazing power. So it just amuses me when some think these are not DDers.
Whith that being said I could see more of an argument for a zl1and for sure a z28.
