Here in Europe I mostly get:

- Do you own a gas station?
- Even if I could I would never buy one because of the high priced insurance / taxes
- Your car is nice, but my audi could beat you, because of whatever mod I've made
- You're complaining about your rent, but you drive a camaro...

But mostly good compliments or people taking pics..

When I had my 2007 Corvette Z06, a guy told me he had a 1985 Mustang that would blow my doors off. I said, "Oh yeah? In the end though, you still have an 85 Mustang."

I don't get too many negative comments down here in SE NC, but I do get a lot of "Transformer" comments. (Mine is yellow with black stripes, which is apparently what the car in Transformers is.) I have had people in filling stations and shopping center parking lots make a comment about that. One business man took a picture of it and when he showed it to his 4 yr old the boy asked if it transformed for him. I have also had adults take pictures of it because it looks like the Transformer car. And I don't think any of those people know or even care whether it is a V6 or V8 or whether or not it has a manual or auto transmission.

Love this thread. I got "mid-Life" comments a lot, but "uh, my last car was a 2 seat convertible, this is pretty domestic for me".

Usual V8 questions as well, but surprisingly several knew the V6 had 320 horsepower. I drive 4 miles to work, through town, top speed limit 45, I can get to 45 plenty quick, for a lot less money. I had my eye on an SS, but it had about 20,000 more miles for the same price.

I did get some "counseling" from a guy at work that I might be "sending the wrong message" if I wanted to "settle down someday" lol. I said "so if I drive a mini-van like you will hot chicks with questionable morals come out of the woodwork, cause that's kind of what I'm going for"

Seems every time I stop for Gas someone is looking, taking pictures, making comments about the car.

Today again, in fact, two guys in a ricer honda were finishing pumping gas and they both got out right in front of the car and started talking about it like I wasn't even there, lol. I was pumping gas (on the right side, what's that about), and there they were... didn't even look my way... I was still pumping when they both got in the honda and just drove away.

Kinda funny to watch...

Just flew to Ohio from Florida to buy it...was driving it home and stayed at a hotel. LADY TELLS ME ITS A NICE Shelby Cobra.
