V8 Volvo conversion progress! Fuel Pump Control Module wiring diagram? Anyone have?

Hello again, folks. My Volvo "SS90" is up and running, but still needs some tweaks before being totally roadworthy. It's got a 2011 Camaro SS L99 / 6L80E with a few bolt-on mods (long tube headers, TSP cam, FAST intake, CAI, coils, etc) and is running well so far thanks to some great tuning work by Jannetty Race Engineering.

The fuel is supplied via a Walbro 255 LPH pump that is externally mounted, so it is pretty LOUD. Fuel pressure is also tanking to 15PSI at about 4000 RPM. I think there may be a restriction in the supply side and will address that somehow... not the subject of this post, though. Even if I fix the restriction, I am still concerned about noise and pump life. I thought about getting an aftermarket PWM fuel pump controller a la DCCD's FuelPro, but then I remembered that the Gen 5 Camaros actually came with a fuel pump controller that controls the fuel pump, and does so in such a manner that the system is actually returnless. I'm not getting rid of my mechanical regulator just yet, but I like the fact that the GM Fuel Pump Control Module operates closed loop, taking fuel pressure readings and feeding them back to the control module in addition to the demand signals it gets from the PCM.

Long story short, I want to make sure that I can use the GM Fuel Pump Control Module before I pick up a used one on eBay or something. I have to make sure that I have all the inputs it'll be looking for (i.e. if it works through the Body Control Module, well, I don't have one of those).

Anybody got the wiring diagram / pinouts for this thing?

Thanks,

-Jon Belmont

Unfortunately I can't help you out but I would still like to say this sounds like a very cool swap

Thanks very much! Yes, it's a fun sleeper. Most of the work was done by a guy named Ross Converse, who has been stuffing Ford 5.0 motors into 200/700/900 series Volvos for about 30 years. I just recently got the car back from him and am tying up some loose ends.

Fantastic! That's indeed exactly what I needed. Do you have it in a slightly higher resolution, by any chance? Looks like this control module interfaces nicely with the stock ECU and it's a whole lot cheaper than the Professional Products FuelOnDemand box (the only other CLOSED LOOP PWM controller that actually takes a readback of fuel pressure... the DCCD FuelPro is open loop :/

Also, does anyone have the part number for the connector? There are plenty of these "black boxes" on eBay, but none seem to come with the wiring.

Thanks again for the help!

-Jon

Okay, so F**k controlling a Walbro with PWM, apparently that type of pump does not like it so much. I'm going to try and retrofit a stock ZL1 pump in-tank, and control it with the Camaro's FPCM. Anybody know if there is a difference in the FPCM for a Camaro SS vs. a ZL1? Part numbers?

Thanks,

-Jon
