Better to play music from USB Drive? or iPod in our Camaro's?

Is it better to play from a USB drive or an iPod in our Camaro's?

When I use my iPod it sometimes does not notice its connected after a start up.

Is this issue still there when its just a USB drive?

I use a 2nd gen 80gb zune, works well 90% of the time but once in awhile will get the message something like "Supported Data Not Found". Unplugging the USB for a second and reconnecting it fixes it for awhile but a couple dozen songs later it'll do it again.

I like USB works great and you can put them on in a better bit rate than on an ipod.

I use a 32gb iPhone and hardly any problems. When it's cold sometimes it does not want to recognize it but after a few seconds unplugged and re plugged not one issue.

The USB is nice but mine seems to have to re-index right after start up each time and it doesn't recognize all of the music on it. It's a 32 gig flash drive with around 13 gigs of music on it and I don't know if there's a cut off for the recognizable size of the drive. File formats are good. Not sure what the deal is.

Haven't tried an iPod though I've got one.

if you have one of the original radios that came with the cars 2010 to 12 I find the Ipod works best for functionality, but I still leave a flash drive with one band plugged in for extended periods, for example I have every song of Seether on a 8GB thumb drive that I have been running since I got her out of storage, will put the Ipod in once the outside temps stay above freezing constantly probably in a month or so.

JSafe,

I have the 10 also, you have to pair the Bluetooth a second time for media, in my phone it's GMusic Connect for media audio. This is on the note 2.

I used to just stream my music through Bluetooth, but then decided to use my USB, and sounds 100 times better! Plus it shows song info on screen and HUD when I change the song which is nice. Sounds better than AUX cable as well.
