I'll be in my late fifties early sixties.. I'll have better cars by then or older ones. I think it'll be hard to fix these cars and alot of aftermarket parts will be used

I hope not. Sounds like a nightmare.

My reply, "Don't tell me what you don't serve, I've been eating here for 50 years!" "Damn kids, ok I'll take a pork chop with some hash browns, covered, smothered, and peppered"...

In 2050, we will all be serving our alien overlords in the dilithium mines.

I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords.

I'm not much too concerned about how these cars will be maintained in 2050. I'm much more concerned about what events will occur between now and then.

In 2050, no, I won't be able to fix my 5Gen. I'll be 78 years old.

However I will still be able to fix my '70 Buick with a mig welder, some steel sheet, and a half-nine wrench.

Actually, this is supposed to happen by Oct 21st of this year (according to the movie). I guess we'll be hovering in no time

That is exactly my point!! No matter what the future holds, pre 1980 cars will be around forever because ANYONE can fix them. Will Gen 5 become disposable because a normal guy of any age in 2050 will not have the resources to make software based repairs which my Camaro so heavily relys on?

I will be 84 and have zero intent to work on mine, but not too old to drive it I hope! Hell, my mom is 77 and she pulls her 26ft travel trailer with her F250!!
