PlastiDip Question - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys. I'm having some PlastDip work done this weekend... wheels, badges, rear spoiler, and lower front lip.

For those of you that have done it, should I also have the dark gray rear plastic piece on the back done as well? Will that color gray stick out if EVERYTHING else on the car is black?

I'm dipping this week too! Doing my bowties. I dip people's wheels/badges on the side so I KIND OF know what I'm doing lol.

What dark gray rear plastic piece on the back are you talking about?

Your dipping your entire car matte black? Or what colour is your car and what colour you dipping the parts you listed?

Depends on what colour your car is and what exactly your doing.
Personally I don't see it being much of an issue. If you spray it with a shine or use tire shine. That piece will look alot darker

If not then have it painted gloss black

I think he's talking about the plastic that is closest to the exhaust

The gray piece at the bottom of the bumper under the plate and around the exhaust.

Just the parts I listed. The car is Red Rock Metallic, already have the hood wrapped in vinyl, doing badges and wheels to match. Just don't want that piece to stick out, but I think you're right about shining it.

Geez, mine is still black. Maybe the sun faded it?

I would dip it black, not gray.
