Flowmaster Force II Axle-back Installed On My Camaro SS
Today I installed my Flowmaster Force II axle-back exhaust on my Camaro SS 1LE. My car has no other exhaust mods. Similar to what Flowmaster says, it's not that loud, however, the sound is distinctive. Most importantly it's louder than the stock base exhaust. I used to have a 2014 Mustang GT and went from Force IIs to American thunder axle-backs and sometimes I wished that I kept the Force IIs on. Since I loved the sound on the Mustang the decision to buy them for my Camaro was a no-brainer.
If you plan on putting headers and/or high flow cats on, but still want aftermarket mufflers, then, IMO, these are a good option. |

Good Choice!
I too am running the Force II axle back. Love it. It's not overly loud with longtubes and cat-delete pipes. Zero drone.

For LT/HF and axle back you are looking close to a minimum of $1,600-1,700. That's just parts, but labor for the install is easy and not time consuming. I did my own install and was simple.

The Force II axle-back by itself is ~$600.

So how is the drone going 55+ mph. My car has the american thunder exhaust currently and the drone above 2000-3000 RPM while driving is crazy IMO. My car is not stock exhaust beyond that. All 4 CATS have been removed and it's been tuned.

You have drone because you don't have the cats. I have the American thunder with longube and cam. It's loud as hell but no drone

I agree. I like the american thunder at idle and during acceleration. But like you said, the drone is bad due to have no CATS. So is it easier to have cats reinstalled and have the car tuned again or to just add resonators to help with the drone?

Have you guys ever tried or experienced the Outlaws? I upgraded to Legato and it's nice but you only get that nice tone while in 1st gear when accelerating. Once you get past 2-3rd, it's almost like a stock exhaust. I am looking for something that will still give me a little volume in those gears.
I'm stock except for a CAI. joe...

Yeah, of you like loud, Outlaw is the way to go. The little "mufflers" they use basically knock a wee bit of rough edges off of the exhaust. Definitely sounds badass. Drones like a mofo right @ 70-80mph. Above or below, it's very tolerable. Or from what I've read, you can get j-pipes installed to kill that drone and have it all.
