Radiator drain and fill + Waterwetter

so this past weekend I did a drain and refill on my radiator, nothing crazy but just some new coolant since the miles are getting a little high and its never been changed.

I also added a bottle of Red Line Waterwetter to it. I figured I may as well give it a shot, cant hurt.

well after driving it around for a few days ive noticed that the temp will dip into the 180's while cruising. now I have never noticed it ever dropping that low, and im not sure if I can give credit to the new coolant or the waterwetter but either way im a happy camper.

just figured id throw it out there if anyone was curious about possibly trying it out.

It's the water wetter, I did this 2 years ago but be careful as I was told not to leave water wetter in for many miles since it gunks up. On NJMP Thunder bolt the display showed no more than 229 degrees. Hope that reading was accurate.

Oh so it's really just a temporary thing you add as needed? And then have to drain? Well I didn't realize that...

im willing to bet its the reason it isnt used exclusively by manufacturers. patent or no, if it really worked, it would be commonplace.

I doubt water wetter causes any problems. It is used extensively on this forum and by many others with no negative results.

I used water wetter when I changed out the old corvette coolant. Also a new radiator, water pump, hoses, belts and thermostat. No more temp problems.
92º+ here seven months out of the year.

10 days until reveal! woo-hoo!
