Fuel issues with nitrous LS3
Anybody having any fuel issues with a 150-200 shot of nitrous? I remember reading somewhere that 14-15 SS come with ZL1 fuel pump so just curious before I slap it on and go for a test and tune night.

I'm maxing out the stock fuel pump on my 11 at a 150 shot. The biggest thing is to watch AFR and fuel pressure on the first few test hits. If it is going lean or dropping the pressure below 57-58psi, shut it down right away.

The issue isn't the fuel pump, it's the initial lean spike and stress on the whole fuel system while you're spraying... anything over 150 you really should be on a standalone with race gas...
As far as the fuel pump goes... I'm 99% sure you need the adm fpcm anyways to flow that of a zl1 pump

I DISAGREE - Stand alone race gas and 93 don't mix well or burn at the same rate in the chamber. Do a nitrous car with ADM DUAL FUEL PUMP SYSTEM and run RACE GAS when spraying and never look back. We had RPM TRANSMISSIONS do just this in their WHITE CAMARO called the fridge and never had an issue.Super fast car with super high hp! |

The funny gas kit builder should sell you a safe system. Non-forged pistons would keep me at a 150 shot or less. A 200 shot is gonna wear the motor REAL fast. The factory SS connecting rods wouldn't be fond of a 200 shot, either.
I've been around the funny gas since 1973. I know a little goes a long way on a stock motor. A motor BUILT for the gas is a hoot!

OP, not sure if there was a change to the fuel delivery system on the SS for '14 or '15. I'll be changing to a dedicated fuel delivery and eliminate the fuel rail feed. I'm not comfortable with the pressure drop, although the afr is fine.
