Ofer are you going to put some RS headlights in your Z/28 or are you worried about the heavier RS lights affecting track performance?... Oh yeah by the way, a year and a half in and my reburbished RS headlights and harness from you are still kicking with no issues!!!

That is the plan, i ordered a set of scales so i can see how the car is set up, ones i know that will go from there, but your looking at 1LB 8 OZ per headlight more, and will make a lighter harness so that may add 1 LB more, on the other side, we have a new crash bar, and there we drop 17 LB for the front.

It will all be in the build thread, NAV too that ads 8 OZ.

Ofer from GEN5DIY was a big help in getting the wire harness for front & rear.
Not a huge fan of the double circles, but LOVE the way the flexible LED was done. That is amazing looking.

Would be curious to know what that part cost ya.

Let me start by saying I did not take pictures yet, but I completed the install tonight of the RS headlights in a non RS car.

The bumper removal is straight forward, but still a pain unless you have tiny hands, which I wished for a few times tonight. The lights look great, but I am already considering going to a whiter HID bulb, I guess 6000k maybe?

I had previously installed LED headlight bulbs in my non RS headlamps, and I liked the whiter light they gave off. I was surprised the HID portion of the RS headlamps is still a bit yellow.

Either way I love my new halos and want to thank GEN5DIY for making it happen. I even had to call them when I got mixed up making connections, they were quick to explain what I was doing wrong and very nice to speak with.

For anyone who wanted the halos but chose a non RS car like I did, this is a great way to add back some missing style.

You can find that "switchback flexible led" lights on Ebay. They come in different lengths. I think I purchased the 24" strip which ended up being too long so I just hid the remainder of strip I didn't use behind the bezel.

The strips will run you about $100, I did the lights myself so there was no labor cost involved.

Hi...
Does anyone know any update on the development of RS-looking headlight set for 2014 non-RS?

I'm in Boston and was wondering if you can give me the name of the shop that did the headlights for you. Would love to do something similar and can't find a place closer by. Also; how much and where did you get the rear taillights?

Thanks
