1966 Chevelle ZL1 Conversion
As some of you remember......I had a build thread of my car going on here until a member complained and the thread got moved......Anyhow.....here is a update at the Drag Strip today.......
Nice Sunny cool sunny day today and I got the Bug to get the Beater out and go to the Drag Strip...... Paid....went thru Tech....and pulled up to the line (Lot's of Prep)......LOL........When I got the Helmet out of the trunk I realized I still had all the normal travelling "Stuff" in the trunk.......Tool box, chairs, hydraulic Jack etc........LOL.......Made two passes......1st one just blew the tires off the car and had it sideways about a third of the way down the track..........2nd pass I drove it out and gradually got in it........2.3 60 ' time and went 12.21 @118..........Not bad for a Highway car........Easy 11's with Drag Radials.......But.......once is enough.........LOL

Very nice. I was wondering where that thread went. I liked seeing the progress.

Looks good. Do you know how the weight compares to a ZL1 camaro?

I met you on HRPT last year. Are you going again this year?
What a great car. I am planning to do this to a 1st gen Camaro in the future and your build is my guide book. Thank you for sharing your unbelievable car with us here. Words and pictures do not do this car justice. Wow.
