I don't see why not. I'll ask. I know I'll be getting it for sure!

Really considering this. I know spots are filling fast and it looks like a blast! I've never done a track day. Haven't even gotten to do an autoX yet. Would you guys mind running with a rookie in a v6? lol seems like most have the v8s

Not at all! The track is going to be big. FULL track. They can put 45 cars on a full track and we will be doing only 25 per group. We are trying to make it a bit safer and more spread out. I'm sure we'll get an instructor with you so you'll be fine with passing/getting passed and when and where to do it. This is all about having fun and it's not timed so if you want to go for it, GO FOR IT!

Awesome! I think I might, I'll have to decide soon though! Also I was reading on the first page and that 150 dollars for insurance covers absolutely everything for my health and my car? Seems too good to be true!

Give or take ($). Adam at NCM is handling everything with regards to insurance for that day. But yeah. If you put your car into a wall, blow an engine, hit someone else, all that jazz, NCM covers you. Piece of mind, man....that's what I'm talking about. I'm going to be going a bit harder than normal but I've got to tame this supercharged beast. While I haven't been full out balls to the wall on a track yet, I want to make sure I'm at least covered if I do screw up.

As for the helmet? I assuming they are required. Just not sure if and open face or closed one matters.

EDIT: Further info from the insurance track said this is not the case. If you blow your engine, that's on you. An NCM guy initially gave me the info that blown engines are covered. He then sent me to the insurance guy and the insurance guy said blown engines aren't covered. Regardless, when one purchases the insurance, these are questions that should be asked of them as Camaro5 nor I assume any liability or responsibility for failed parts to ones car or failure to control the vehicle on the course.

Of course they are required...c'mon now...lol. Open or closed does not matter. Just make sure it's 2005 SA or higher.

And someone else asked if Canadians can get the insurance. In summary, if you have a US address that you can provide NCM, then it sounds like they can cover you. If you are 100% completely and totally Canadian with no ties to the US but to drive in from now and then, no...you are not eligible for the insurance.

Here you go...straight from them...

Quote:
- Canadians
o If you are Canadian and only live in Canada, there is nothing we can do for you.
o If you happen to have a US address (maybe a part-time residence or office), we can sell them policies as long as your credit card will go through using the US address. In this case, we would consider you a US resident.
- Canadian events
o For single-event policies, we can’t cover Canadian events.
o For multi-event policies, we can cover Canadian events. But again, the person purchasing the policy must have a US address. Under the policy, you can cover any combination of event in the US and/or Canada.
For more questions over the insurance, feel free to email Adam at adam@corvettemuseum.org or info@ncminsurance.com.
