I was thinking of ordering these for my car, but I couldn't find them in the ABM. The car
gets dirty really quick behind the rear wheels. That being said, I just came back from a long road trip and I think the nose of the car took more of a beating. The rear looks good but I have a few minor chips in the front, so I'm thinking about the 3M bra.

Looks like sh|t in my opinion. I think the best solution to the rock chips is what was done to the C6 Z06 fenders (maybe the regular C6 too but haven't looked at those) which have a black plastic insert of some sort right behind the wheel. Looks good yet barely noticeable.

Bet I could retro fit a set of black standard mud flaps easily on the front, its just the back that is puzzling, its just a thin lip of the bumper cover. Nothing to screw into.

I had them installed on mine,Here in in Indiana they use crushed limestone on many rural roads, the limestone is abrasive and will scratch and gouge your paint. For me there a necessity on both car and truck. Besides I think they look good.....

There is an old saying "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", my feeling is NOT everyone likes strawberry ice cream, in other words, put on what you like and understand that the cars offer individuality....I have a yellow and I have the flaps and the rally stripes PLUS I have the spoiler and I also put on the "fades" for the side gills PLUS I put on the blackout for the area on the lower trunk lid....I am very happy with what I did, IF I grow disappointed then I get out the hair dryer and take off the decals....just my $.02....

Did anyone see that dealer's decal on the left side of the deck lid of that yellow?
I am appalled. No way would I let a dealer stick their name on the painted surface of my Minivan...let alone my Camaro. Heck, I don't even like the dealer license plate frame. Alfie |

you could get away without taking the wheels off but its much easier with them off. And I only installed the rear guards. The front ones look nasty.

Some vehicles have a clear film over the susceptible (sp) area, much like the clear hood protectors. I think that's what I'll do in lieu of mudflaps.

I don't like the flaps and don't plan on installing them but with just 300 miles on my Camaro I have already removed tar from the lower front rocker panel area. The rear 1/4 panels behind the rear wheels collects dirt with just a short drive.
It only takes minutes to clean the lower body panels but I think stone chips are on their way. |
