Hopefully you tried tightening the park plugs before going through all that trouble???
If it's not compressed air getting by the spark plugs then I'd think it would be a hydraulic lifter failure over anything else.

That's not a spring noise. Even still, aren't you running stock springs? A broken single spring would mean a dropped valve.

Ive had a loose spark plug wire that made a similar sound....it wasnt completely off, just loose.

springs,spark and plug looked fine, its something else internally. I can here a tick/knock now the sputtering noise is gone and I have service stabilatrac and MIL p0305 code on.

This is not good...

I wonder if it's a vacuum leak. I believe some of the components in the traction control use vacuum, and of course a vac leak will cause all sorts of trouble for the engine as well.
If it's not that then I'm thinking lifter.
