6l90 differences
Is there a difference between the zl1 and 2500hd 6l90? Also what is needed to do the swap from a 6l80 in a ss to a 90 thanks for the help.

Thanks smokum I'm guessing we need a custom driveshaft in order to retrofit it into a SS? or do you know if the stock zl1 driveshaft will fit without any modifications?

I dont know that answer. But the trans looks the same. Could get a custom shaft made. Maybe rpm can answer that question.

To put the zl1 6l90 in, you will need crossmember, trans mount and a custom driveshaft. For my 2010 I had to use the 6l80 tune, the zl1 trans tune wouldn't communicate with my e38 ecm.

Did anyone figure this out? I have two 6l90s to choose from and the 2500hd is cheap enough over the CTS-v. I have to assume they are the same but dont want to waste money.
