2nd cat delete?

Anyone have video of the stock headers and exhaust (and/or dyno?) with the 2nd cats deleted? I heard these arent monitored for emissions and wont set a CEL.

If this is true, then I'm interested.

Also curious -- if you remove one but leave the other, does this cause an imbalance of back pressure and does that matter?

Yes sorry no vid or pix but this was one of the first mods I did when I did catback the rear cats are overkill must be for California emissions but easy to do and must free up some HP and no dreaded SES light good luck

Are you guys replacing them with straight pipe, an aftermarket product, or just hitting what's there?

Just punch them out with a medium pry bar or long screw driver with 5 pound sledge hammer takes a little work to get all the element out start car with the catback still disconnected and rev it up to blow out the Broken parts of element make sure you get it all you don't want any to come out when exhaust is hooked up good luck

Would really prefer to hear how this sounds if there is any way you could get a vid Mike? Seems like overkill here too.

Did you notice any performance gain?

Sorry no vid but if you are going to do a cat back exhaust I would do it because exhaust is already off would not do if keeping factory exhaust the gains are not worth all the work. makes exhaust a little louder and I am sure it frees up a couple of HP from the less restriction in exhaust.I have long tubes no cats now and love it good luck
