UPDATE: well guys, another step completed. Finally getting all of the suspension and drivetrain swapped over. New rear end and suspension is in. I should have pictures to post sometime this week. I am now heading to New York and Washington D.C. For a week. So while I'm gone, my car will be getting tore down, and hopefully when I get back next week we can finally start the engine and Trans part. I'm so glad that we are making progress on this beauty. Can't want to get this thing swapped.

Hopefully so. I have been on senior trip this past week, and well that's why I haven't updated no more. My papaw has been working on it back home, but I am not there to find out what he has done. Hopefully we are getting to the final stretch. I just hope since the cars are different years, that all of the wiring and everything are in the same spots with the same connectors. Hopefully I'll be able to update yall on some stuff tomorrow when I arrive back in krntucky. Thank you guys

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. We have actually been trying to put a LFX motor in a LLT body and we've swapped out the engine wiring harness, dash wiring harness, and the harness that runs through the passenger side firewall, and we've still got a service brake assist code, service stabilitrak and the windows and locks won't work. We've had a nightmare with this car. We went from a 2011 to 2012. And in the LS3 swap we are going from a 2012 to a 2011. I just hope and pray we don't have this much trouble on my ls3 swap.

Holy cow man, I had no idea it was that bad, I've got an LFX right now and am thinking about heading down the same path as you, If I do the conversion literally everything is going to get swapped, hopefully will be able to pickup a car with a HUD and some nicer options!

That might just be because it was a completely new motor. I hope that I ain't the case with swapping the ls in it. I hope all of the wiring lines up. I have a HUD that came out of the SS of you would like to buy it! lol

Ha thanks for the offer man - but that one's low on the list. Needs a new windshield, dash, etc.

Haha I know! I was pulling your leg! Thanks for watching the build though. Hoping to have all the Suspenion and brakes swapped out next week. I bought lowering spring, they are suppose to be in next week!

Always good, I'm sitting gone lowering springs right now and honestly it kinda sucks, they're really stiff so the handling is great but holy cow they suck for daily use.

I think I'm going to do the LS3 swap and then go to a 1LE suspension for the SS. 1LE (the way it comes) has proven over and over to be essentially the best suspension setup for the Camaro. I think 1LE suspension and maybe a Brembo 6-piston would be awesome, but I'm a road-course kinda guy. I like track performance and am just looking for more power.

Well I'm young and I don't really care what the ride is like, as long as it looks good. Lol but I would like to have 1le suspension, but a 1LE donor car would be close to 15k-20k and I'm not on that kind of budget. I've already got about 12k tied up into this swap which is fine but maybe later on down the road I can swap out to 1le struts and stuff. I am more for the drag strip, so I like to squat and launch.

I gotcha man, fair enough - also full 1LE suspension is sold as as a kit from GM!
Where did you buy the donor car? So far I can only find them on online auctions - just seems a little sketchy to me.
