It kind of depends on how much you really use the Z. In my case, it is a weekend fun car. I have taken it to Camaro Fest in Indianapolis but most of the time it is weekend use. I like the manual but if it was a daily driver and having to put up with heavy traffic twice a day, I would have gone with an automatic.
Another thing to consider is that we are about two years away a Sixth Gen. ZL1 with a 600HP+ LT4 in a much lighter chassis and an 8 speed automatic. For me, I would wait for the 8 speed auto. I have it in our 2015 Z51 and I can tell you it is a heck of a tranny.
