Even if there is no emergency and this accident never happens, what does the pickup driver gain from this situation? Congrats, you blocked an idiot for a few minutes. Do you feel like more of a man now? Do you feel like citizen police or like you've somehow made humanity better?
I just don't get it. If it bothers you that much, move over, and call the police. There is literally NOTHING TO BE GAINED EVER from blocking someone like this in. If anything, you've now made that person angry and they will go on to cause an accident with some other person. American drivers are the worst. Even drivers in Mexico are more respectful of laws than America drivers. If you don't have a badge, you aren't the god damned police. Move out of the way safely and go on with your day. You gain absolutely nothing from doing otherwise. |

What you can't tell is how long the Pickup was intentionally blocking the fast lane to "teach a lesson". My guess is most of the time, you can tell that with how the pickup parallels the Semi, holding constant. Everyone was taught something that day, too bad there is little chance any will learn... |

There's no other vehicle there for the second half of the video. There was in the beginning. Look at the shadows from the car. The pick up driver slows to match the speed of the semi-truck. If you can't see that happening... well... I dunno.

Sorry, but the actions of the person in the truck in no way contributed to this accident. The driver of the Camaro made a bad decision which caused him to lose control of his car.
Even if, and it's a big if, that state does have the passing lane law, on that particular stretch, our friend in the Camaro still had no right to do what he did. Sure the guy in the pickup could have avoided this by speed up and moving over, which he probably would have done if our friend wasn't tailgating him. They guy in the Camaro should have just sat back and waited. Just because he wanted to drive faster doesn't mean everyone, or anyone else has to. I pray that everone was uninjured. Once this video gets presented, the camaro driver is going to have some serious consequences to face. |

I see assholes like this pickup driver in NY all the time. Driving around on these roads with a false sense of entitlement and it makes me angry as hell. Pushing people to the edge is what they do.

I've been driving tractor trailers for 33 years as a side job and have seen just about everything. I've never driven like it was 4000 lbs, never had an accident either. There is something to be said about "defensive driving", sometimes you have to swallow your pride and give the idiots room. A true professional driver will do everything possible to remove themselves from situations such as this. Not sure how you would have seen somebody in distress in the car from that footage, that was my point, there is no way of knowing !

So, because they don't drive faster, or move over for you, just because you want to drive faster, means they have a false sense of entitlement?

That is correct, when you're not abiding to road rules just to get back at some jerk you have a false sense of entitlement. Left lane is passing lane if youre not using it to pass move over to the right traffic lane.
