I live 30 minutes from Lingenfelters shop I think I will be going there Saturday for sure! Save that $8 dollars on shipping but spend the $10 in gas and have a blast doing it LOL

Correct me if I am wrong, but folks are basically using the tool to ensure the rod is aligned with the valve first and then tightening that down, and then adjusting the set screw itself to barely touch plus 1/4 turn to preload right?

Just checked mine and it isn't even touching the set screw so I don't have to adjust it! Unless there is a gap preference between the set screw and the blowoff arm there is about 1/8 inch between them so it is totally closed! And it was like that all winter and I did drive it in pretty cold temps but never experienced any problem with it sticking!

I don't think the preload is there for when it gets too cold. I think it's there for when the metal expands when the engine gets on the hotter side. That said, I think the preload is more of a factory safeguard and probably isn't necessary 99% of the time.

Actually the opposite but probably same result. If the metal gets too cold and contracts it could close it completely not allowing it to release pressure if needed. People in warmer climes are probably safe.

Made a video of the boost gauge reading since the tech replaced my supercharger under warranty. Is this the normal gauge reading for stock boost? Looks like the middle between 7.5 and 15 would be about 11 and its almost there at peak, seems high or?

I hit 10.10 PSI on the dyno stock.

I've found that the center console boost gage isn't that reliable (for me at least). Hard to get an exact reading. I get the boost from the ODBII connection (using Torque app on Android phone and the MX OBDLink dongle). I generally get between 8 - 9 psi on that (seem to get more when colder). That's why this specific adjustment sounds like it's needed for me!

Is 10psi ok for the blower to be making via the stock tune? I assume so since the car is bone stock and all, but just curious.

For the Torque app, I heard a lot of negative stuff about it vs Dashlogic/etc. Is it accurate and whats the difference, besides having it display on the dash of course?

Odd that the boost isn't in the HUD.
