best dealer for warranty engine work
My car right now is 100% stock aside from a few cosmetic mods and QTP cutouts. (never tuned)
I took my headers and cai off 20k miles ago. This morning my engine definitly showed signs of valvetrain issue (chirping) coming from valve cover on cold start. (I think its a lifter). Pretty much 100% sure it is actually since i have a video i will post soon.. Who should i take it too? The moment i was like well oh shit...

Macmulkin Chevrolet in Nashua, NH is the only dealership i'd probably let do warranty work on my camaro. I don't know about MA area dealerships there's gotta be a few decent ones.

Did you take it over to Don at Slowhawk? I think he knows more about LS3's than dealerships do. Unless you're looking for warranty work.

yeah, warranty work.' I just dont want them to blame the cutouts should i remove them and put a blocking plate or should i think about finding a used exhaust and putting it in so there is no questioning modifications.
chirping on the drivers side (I read theres a TSB.)

Never heard a lifter make that noise, it sounds like a dry idler pulley or something else rubbing. Get a mechanics stethoscope on it to be sure if
its in the valve train.

Probably a wiped out lifter. I've seen good and pretty bad warranty fixes on that issue. We are fixing one now that the dealer already tried to.

Don, does this mean it's time for heads/cam and a valve train upgrade? If I wasn't warrantied this would probably the case.
I'm going to drop it off at dealer. It popped a 0305 code cylinder 5 and I'm pretty sure that's right where I heard this coming from. Who knows a to cutout friendly dealer? Or anyone selling a stock exhaust?
