Just got the recall notice for 2011 keys (thought the timing was way late)

Not to start a fire storm about keys...

I already did the decline at the dealer last year (summer 2014). Received the letter today in the mail and an email. Still havent gotten the one about the seat bolt recall...you would think they wouldve included that as the letter says to adjust your seat...but the recall says not to adjust your seat, lol. That seat bolt seems more urgent than keys (at least to me).

And the dumb look in that picture even had my wife laughing. (attached)

Your vehicle is included in a safety recall and your ignition key needs to be repaired to correct the problem. Here's what you need to know:


• You should have already adjusted your seat and steering column to allow clearance between your knee and the ignition key. But remember, this is only a precaution, not a permanent solution.


• You still need to complete this repair as soon as possible. Without it, your key could rotate out of the "run" position and your air bags may not deploy in an accident.

POWER HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE DRIVER AND PASSENGER FRONT SEATS

Recall Description:

General Motors has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2011-2012 MY Buick Regal and LaCrosse, 2010-2012 MY Cadillac SRX, 2011-2012 MY Chevrolet Camaro, and 2010-2012 MY Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain vehicles equipped with power height adjustable driver and passenger front seats. Some of these vehicles may have a condition where the bolt that secures the power front seat height adjuster can become loose or fall out.

Safety Risk Description:

If the bolt falls out, the seat will drop suddenly to the lowest vertical position. The sudden seat movement may affect a drivers ability to safely operate a vehicle or increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant in a vehicle crash. UNTIL YOU HAVE HAD THE RECALL REPAIR, DO NOT ADJUST THE SEAT HEIGHT.

Repair Description:

Dealers are to replace the height adjuster shoulder bolt free of charge.
