well that explains all the banging
My cars suspension is tired and it's handling/ride quality was poor to say the least, lately I was getting a small clunk now and then over bumps, I recently picked up new struts, solid subframe bushings, offset differential bushings, 391 gears and 18 x 11 wheels. I was waiting for a buddy to have a lift free so I wouldn't have to do the work on the ground. Well a couple of days ago I started getting a nasty clunk continuously so I jacked it up today and found the reason. While I was there I did everything but the gears, differential bushings and front struts, I'll do those on the lift

Starting to think Pfadt = FAIL in German. I have two issues going on with their parts now at 2500 miles.

Scary.
Do you remember if the closely spaced coils on the rear springs were fully bottomed against each other with the car at rest with its full weight on the wheels? Can you post a picture of the one front spring that I'm guessing is still in one piece? Norm

IMO something such as a cool spring should last the lifetime of the car...

If they served you well they'd still be serving at 90K miles and you wouldn't be up under the car again. I'll just have to disagree on the "well" part of that.

Agreed if you drive this car normal and never track it these should last a long time. Miles mean nothing these are only a few years old. I have the original springs in my 64 mustang they are over 50 years old.

The roads around here eat suspensions for lunch. Also, with the struts being worn out for a,while there is added stress on the springs. Like I said, i know what theybeen through and have no complaints.
