Dude, that's why I said you had a friggin ARMORED DIVISION! New Stock Z's coming in the 5th Gen form would definitely have to meet and surpass the Shelby numbers.. potentialy pushing this thing into the afore mentioned 10s with you probably 'pushing it into the 8s and liquidating everyone's bowels in the process'.

i have a question, whats the point of making having two engines producing same amount of power ?? point in example they say the mustang 5.0 coyote will have 400 hp and 400 tq but the 6.2 that is going in the SVT raptor has 400 hp and 400 tq ?? why not just use one engine ?? unless the 5.0 is not going to have 400 HP, more like 350

Numerous examples of stock 2007 model stock GT500's running 12.2 - 12.5. The 2010 model adds 40HP, stickier stock rubber, and more aggressive gearing, so expect to see high 11's in good conditions and good drivers.

Applications? One could be geared toward HD trucks while the Coyote is more of a racing/sports car engine geared for the Mustang? You don't see GM honking Vortec 8100s into the Camaro (as much as we'd love to see it happen)..

Some people are saying they will have the same amount of horsepower and torque, but they wont. It wont be night and day in peak ratings, but their will be a noticeable difference. Also, important factors like low and mid range torque where peak hp is made will also be very different.

As for the 5.0L, it wont be 350hp, not even in the F150.

I'm guessing that is Evan Smith behind the wheel? I'd love to see what he can do with the new camaro as well .. that guy can drive!!

Very nice ... Car is a beast for sure !!

Nice! that new gt500 is beastly. just to some comments in this thread, the z28 doesn't HAVE TO DEFINITELY FOR SURE beat a gt500 with whatever next version they come out with, there is other points to be considered with sales of cars, you don't DEFINITELY FOR SURE need to have more HP than the next guy to sell your car. history has proven this.

this is directed to all the people that say "now chevy has to do this, now ford has to do that" all they HAVE to do is sell cars really.

If I didn't have an idea who was driving (but I'm sure it's Evan Smith), then I'd agree, however, this is the same guy who eeked out at least a few high 12s out of LS1 cars. Besides him, the only other guy who I think would get the most out a car on the 1320' would be the new HNIC over at GM High Tech Performance, Scott Parker. Regardless, Mr. Smith is said to own many records and if he runs a car to a number, that's pretty much as good as it's going to get, for the most part (weather and track prep' withstanding). JMHO.

I, personally, think it better be superior in something, otherwise, why do it? Don't get me wrong, I want it back, like many others, but what good is it if we leave the Top Dog Mustang on top
