Exhaust

I have 2013 SS and i've been researching all different types of exhausts for my model and year. The one that appeals to me most is borla atak but some videos i watch dont sound as mean and deep as i would like. My father in law has flowmasters which are pretty nice sounding but i'm still set on borla. I have resonator delete cold air and tune already. My question is what is the best way to get the deep old school muscle sound and should i get the borla atak?

You should look at the Stainless Works retro-chambered exhaust. It's got a deeper, more old-school sound than the Borla ATAK system.

This right here. Stainless Works retro chambered is so MEAN sounding. Albeit it's pretty loud, but never has a car sounded more mean. You really have to hear it in person. That thing is just insane. I want a full catback so bad.

Have you considered high flow cats? They will make it much deeper and add some power too.

Try and go to a car meet and listen to the exhausts systems. Sure you would be able to find a car with the Atak. It will sound MUCH better in person.

I definitely wanted to do high flo cats but everyone was telling me not too mess with that. My father in law said to do headers with straight pipes for most hp and nicest sound but borla or stainless works seemed easier to install.

Concur. Next to going straight pipes, Flowmaster sounds great. Highly recommend anyone get a set. Haven't seen too many disappointed.

If you put headers with straight pipes, you're going to have to mess with the cats. Call that plan B.

In the mean time, HFC's are a great way to improve the tone note and the power in your ride. Pair that with a good exhaust set and you're in heaven. A catback will increase flow... especially by eliminating them huge cans off your rear. But the large restriction in the flow is in the cats. HFC's, if you don't want to go without them and still care about passing smog. The effect is immediate.

Stainless works retro chambered, the loudest and deepest of them all. You won't regret it.

This is one of the best I have heard. This is paired with headers

I have it for sale. Under 2 weeks of use. My stock Catback with no mufflers was louder so I returned back to that.

I had multiple venders recommend the Stainless Works Retro Chambered Catback, that told me alot, gets you a deep old school rumble, X Pipe and way lighter than the stock setup. NO BRAINER, love mine and get compliments constantly. Give Brandon at Maryland Speed a call, bet he will beat his already low on line price.

Definitely SW Retro Chambered. The Flowmaster Outlaw is 2nd, and Corsa is 3rd for me
