Smile MRT Exhaust Loss of Power

Hey guys, I'm new to this site but seek your experienced advice. Im getting ready to order either an axle back MRT V1/V2 I haven't really decided yet. I've been doing my research and am getting a bit discouraged as I continue to read that you experience a bit of power loss on the lower end. "Back pressure/Torque" as it has been referred to differently. Is this true? Is it really that noticeable? I've come to understand that adding a CAI helps mediate the problem, but I won't be able to afford one anytime soon if I order the exhaust first. Any help, advice, or first hand experience is welcome. Thanks guys.

It could happen , I have a complee new system from the motor back and it feels quicker to me , I am having it tuned and the tuner asked if it felt slower , reason is the computers need tuned he said after that you will see gains from stock

I didn't notice any power loss. It's not that noticeable. However, if I had the choice, I would have chose either the NPP or SOLO exhaust, and delete the secondary cat. The drone is quite annoying specially during long trips.

In all honesty mine did feel a bit slower but I have noticed that the power comes at a different point now. I am sure with a tune the lag will go away. The lag occurs when my car shifts (auto) and is maybe a half second at WOT. With my CAI and Vitesse TC it is no longer as much of a big deal.

My 1LS has the mrt v1 and I love it, there's no loss of lower and if there is I sure as hell can't feel it! Drone isn't too bad but that's relative and depends on one's set up ( with/without cats etc)

I have mrt v2 and just got complimented on it today by a rt challenger. No loss of power at all, it might even feel quicker slightly because of the weight loss. also when you are cruising in 2nd at 3000rpm then drop it into 1rst it sounds deep/aggressive.

I doubt you will lose any power....unless you TOTALLY fudge up the install.

theres too many myths on forums. too many people that post crap with no sound proof (sometimes lack of common logical sense) other than, "well that's what I had heard" and half the time, they never can produce who they heard it from.
